JANE E. RAYMOND is founder and CEO of Secure Perception Research (SPR) Ltd and Professor (Emeritus) of Visual Cognition at the School of Psychology, University of Birmingham, UK.

 

She is internationally recognized for user experience research related to high value documents, especially banknotes, and has worked with many G7 Central Banks on anti-counterfeit issues. She pioneered many new perceptual analysis techniques for understanding user perception of banknotes and other high value products and has worked tirelessly over the last two decades to bring Perception Science to the banknote industry. She has numerous publications related to banknote research published in top ranked academic and industry and has given presentations at the Currency Conference, Banknote, ODS, IBDC and many other industry meetings.

  

Prof.  Raymond also has considerable experience with consumer research in the FMCG sector, having worked with companies such as Unilever and Millward-Brown. She received the prestigious WPP/Google Marketing Research Award in 2010 for excellence in studies of attention and perception in the digital environment.  She also has an international academic reputation for high quality basic research in human visual perception, visual attention, eye movements, emotion, and motivation. She has~100 peer reviewed publications and has been awarded numerous major research grants from UK Research Councils (ESRC, BBSRC) to fund her work.
